Why This Coming Eid is Not Raya

Sedar tak sedar, Aidilfitri is just around the corner. But we were never in a festive mood. Too many factor. We were far from our family of course; our relatives in Palestine were under massive oppression and tragedies involves Malaysia that had shed too much blood and tears.

Eid might fall on this Monday in Lebanon but UNIFIL announced that its a working day for the peacekeepers. Whats the different? We will still be here doing our job and daily routines though its holiday. That was also another factor.

What made us upset the most is because of all this tragedy, we are powerless to do anything. Especially to our fellow relatives in Palestine. Serving under UN flag as a peacekeeper in Lebanon, we are subjected to serve only in the interest of Lebanon. As peacekeeper and implementing the aspirations of Malaysian leaders, we are promotong peace, no offensive force whats so ever. Some of us, many of us would like to join the war though.

In my opinion, the best way to fight fire is with water. Talks are in progress, with UN on one end and US on the other hand but both parties are calling for peace. Yet both Israel and Hamas is playing  blame game with Israel blaming Hamas for rejecting their call for cease fire and Hamas tells that the cease fire conditions put Palestine under disadvantage and they had been fooled by Israel too many times to know it.

Israel is under pressure. Believe it or not, the economic boycott by us and the world had effected Israels income. Refer here:

Same goes to Palestine. While i'm writing, it was recorded that more than 700 Palestinian had died. Hamas believe they are on the way to win. They believe they could get something this time. Allah promises that Islam will eventually wins the war but not before all th muslims unite. And we are still far from there.

Forgive me my pitiful english. Selamat Hari Raya to all. May we celebrate this Hari Raya moderately and with full of syukur to Allah. Lets pray for Islamic unity.
